Versatile Interface Options for Seamless Integration
To accommodate diverse user needs, the Series 9 offers multiple display options. The cost-effective Operator Terminal (OT) provides a clear, large-format display of key measurements and basic functions. For more advanced users, the sophisticated Gauge Control Interface (GCI) enables comprehensive network management of multiple gauges, advanced configuration, data logging and trending, and diagnostic tools. A ruggedized, portable tablet with wireless connectivity for managing gauge networks is also available.
Seamless Integration with Industrial Systems
The Series 9 Industrial Moisture Gauge offers flexible integration into new or existing processes through its comprehensive digital I/O and networking capabilities. Supporting industry-standard protocols such as EthernetIP, ProfinetIO, ModbusTCP, DeviceNet, and ProfibusDP, up to 16 gauges can be easily networked. Additionally, eight digital I/O and analogue outputs are provided.

Accessories and Options
A comprehensive suite of accessories and options ensures optimal configuration for specific industrial applications and reliable long-term operation. These include air or water cooling/heating for extreme environments, adjustable mounting solutions, various cabling choices, gating mechanisms for discontinuous materials, powder vision technology for duct measurements, different measurement beam sizes, product temperature sensors, and specialised viewing ports.
Achieving the Lowest Total Cost of Ownership
The Series 9’s inherent long-term stability, coupled with its leading performance, straightforward installation, and minimal maintenance requirements, guarantees exceptional value over its extended operational lifespan.
Operating Principle
The Series 9 Industrial Moisture Gauge employs Near-Infrared (NIR) spectroscopy for its measurement. This technique relies on the principle that water molecules within the analysed material exhibit specific absorption characteristics at certain infrared wavelengths. By emitting pulsed light at these key wavelengths onto the product and subsequently analysing the reflected, unabsorbed light with a sensitive detector, the gauge precisely quantifies the absorption at each wavelength. Utilising sophisticated algorithms and rapid signal processing, this allows for a direct and accurate moisture determination for the material under analysis. The measurement is inherently stable and unaffected by variations in process parameters such as particle size, product layer thickness, temperature fluctuations, ambient light, and changes in relative humidity.
Colour Measurement
An additional feature of the Series 9 goes even further to aid production efficiency and product perfection. The latest Series 9 can identify a shift in colour within a split second which can allow any contamination causing discolouration such as limestone to be removed before any further wastage occurs. Limestone can cause a range of faults within the production of bricks and tiles for example that reduce quality and strength so the need to quickly identify possible faults to eradicate wastage is vital to all production managers.
