Tariq Hassan, Quality Engineer and Data Scientist with Sika recently ordered a Dynascan LeakVIEW through Kevin Goodison at Control Metrix as part of their quality control process. The LeakVIEW provides visual detection of leaks in a sealed product through either bubble emission or burst testing. Individual or several bags of grout can be placed in the chamber at sporadic intervals during the production process and the seal integrity can be tested.
“The seal integrity has to be 100% secure across all of our grout products” explained Tariq. “If the product comes into contact with any form of moisture then it will begin to set in situ and become completely redundant. The LeakVIEW gives us another layer of reassurance that our packaging is as reliable as it should be. We are also thrilled at how quickly we were able to test multiple bags at the same level of testing confidence saving significant time. Kevin’s expertise in calibrating the equipment and building our methodology was hugely beneficial in saving time.”
