Overview

The InfraLab Series 9 Industrial Moisture Analyzer is the latest evolution in NIR-based at-line moisture measurement, replacing the previous InfraLab e-Series. Designed for production and quality control teams, it offers fast, repeatable, and highly accurate readings of moisture levels directly from the process line.

Ideal for industrial applications, this system delivers precise results within just 5 seconds. It features extensive onboard memory capable of storing up to 100,000 sample records, including measurement values, standard deviations, user ID, and timestamps.

Engineered for integration flexibility, the InfraLab Series 9 operates either as a stand-alone unit or seamlessly connects to factory networks and LIMS systems.

How It Works

Using multi-wavelength near-infrared (NIR) reflection, the analyzer detects how different materials absorb specific wavelengths of light — an approach particularly suited for measuring moisture, fat, and protein.

A pulsed light source targets the sample, and absorption is measured against an internal reference. These readings are rapidly processed and translated into output values using calibration curves tailored to your specific materials. Crucially, performance is unaffected by variations in sample temperature, particle size, humidity, or ambient light, making it extremely robust in industrial environments.

Typical Applications

The InfraLab Series 9 is ideal for non-food industrial environments requiring fast, reliable, and contact-free moisture analysis. It supports a wide range of powder, flake, and granule materials commonly used in manufacturing and processing.

User-Friendly Design, Industrial-Grade Reliability

With no need for complex training, the system offers a simple five-second operation cycle. Once a sample dish is placed on the turntable, the system automatically initiates measurement.

Key usability and durability features include:

  • A rugged, easy-clean build with IP65-rated sealing
  • Passcode-protected access control for user traceability
  • Large onboard memory (10,000+ sample files)
  • Encrypted USB data transfer or direct PC/Ethernet connectivity
  • Compatibility with InfraLab Manager Software for real-time data access and reporting

Calibration and Accuracy

Every unit is pre-calibrated in the factory to suit your specific product range and measurement goals. It can also be aligned to lab-based standards such as Gravimetric Oven or Karl Fischer titration, ensuring lab-grade accuracy without the time, cost, or chemicals associated with traditional moisture testing methods.
